So this is our second one of these. I have a Chocolate Lab/Chessie mix and a German Shepherd, and they are chewers! I had to majorly reevaluate the toys and bones we purchased after getting the GSD. He could destroy most toys and rawhide in a matter of an hour if not only minutes. I found this brand at a local pet store. I was impressed that it was American made which it a big plus to me. I gave it a try and I am even more impressed. The dogs love these things. I actually there the first one away and ordered this one only because that kept banging the chewed one on my leg. They had had it so long and chewed on it so much the whole thing felt like a cheese grater when the ran passed with it in their mouth or dropped it in my lap. They can chew on it for days, weeks, months with minimal wear down. This is the second wishbone style I ordered. They have a bowed one but they seem to prefer this wish bone style. I think because they can grip it in their paws and have a good angle to chew. They are pricer chew bone but I feel we have more than gotten our money's worth out of them. If you have a major chewer, I can certainly recommend you give these a try.

I bought the peanut butter flavor and it's definitely a hit! I've probably ordered this bone at least 5 times already. I have a 2 year old Chesapeake bay retriever and 5 month old shih tzu. My shih tzu is too young for it but loves to lick it and teeth on it. My retriever just loves it. I've tried other flavors but she likes the peanut butter flavor best. She goes through them super fast and she has never gotten sick from them. She used to chew on Nylabone but one of the bones made her sick so we only give her this one. She gets through them super fast because we let her free chew and leave it around whenever she wants it. If you want it to last, let your dog chew on it 20min at a time. She'll chew off pieces so watch out! She will spit out the bigger pieces but some small ones she'll swallow but I find it in her poop. She hasn't had a problem at the vet yet but keep an eye on your dogs!

Dog really likes this. Great design for younger dog. My dog prefers the bacon over the chicken flavor. Been great for tough chewers...

Quiet Dissidence

Both my GSDs love the Bacon Benebone and I am super happy with this product. We aren't very diligent about brushing their teeth (I know shame on us) and our female had some gross looking brown stains on many of her teeth. Before getting them professionally cleaned I wanted to try this product as a few IG accounts I follow raved about how great it was. I REALLY wish I had taken before and after pics, no b.s, the difference is that big. She still has a little bit of buildup on some hard to reach spots way in back but it's a vast improvement overall.I monitor the dogs pretty closely and they haven't had any gum bleeding or gastric issues while using the product. Both dogs are pretty heavy chewers and have gone thru most of the handle so it looks more like a V now.The only problem we had, was jealousy over the bacon Benebone. Neither of our dogs seem to have any interest in the P.B one, which I thought was a little strange since they love their P.B dog cookies. Really hoping that once the Bacon one is gone they will start in on the PeanutButter one, otherwise it was a waste of money =/

Personally, I don't love it - but my dog does. God knows why, because it sure as hell does not taste like bacon....not that I've tried. We have 4 or 5 in the house right now because it's the only toy he does not immediately destroy. It's a very hard plastic, so great for strong chewers. As it gets worn, the edges get really rough so definitely keep an eye on your dog and make sure they're not hurting themselves. The wishbone shape is cute, but it's also pretty easy for my dog to hold between his paws when he goes to town on it. He closes his eyes and gnaws on it so passionately that I get a little jealous because I don't think I have ever enjoyed chewing something as much as my dog enjoys chewing this (and let's be real, we have WAY better stuff to chew than they do.)

I have three dogs who all love these Benebones (Lab, Golden Retriever, and Amstaf). They have Different flavors of these bones and my dogs love all of the flavors. The dentist has remarked about how clean their teeth are, which I think is in great part due to these Benebones. They have laundry basket full of toys and since these Benebones are heavier than most of their other toys, they usually settle toward the bottom of the basket. It is so funny to watch them digging through the other toys to get to their Benebones. Over several months, one knob on one of the Benebones was chewed down (little shreads at the time, not a harmful chunk), which meant I bought another round of Benebones for all of them. One of my dogs had to have surgery because she swallowed a chunk of a Kong toy, but even though she is a strong chewer (Bully breed) and can demolish most toys in 15 minutes or less, these Benebones last months before they need to be replaced. I watch their toys to make sure nothing starts coming apart that could necessitate another trip to doggie ER ($6,000 bill and 5 days in hospital). The price of the Benebones may seem a little high, but if you can avoid trip to doggie hospital for intestinal blockage and all the pain your dog would suffer, they are a good investment. It is cute to see each of three dogs grab one knob on a Benebone and pull in three different directions. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Great design and material for all dogs, but especially for Bully types.

As a former vet tech, rescuer and pup momma I've come across some chewers that take the cake. Of course, one of my own is the worse of the worst. My monster lab/poodle mix can DESTROY just about anything I buy for him . He snaps the ultra kongs in half without blinking and will crack even the largest Nylabones within a few minutes. Even toys marketed as indestructible with money back warranties fall to their death in his jaws. That said .... HE LOVES THIS BONE and hasn't managed to do much damage to it which makes it one of the best chew toys I've ever encountered.

We have a 1 year old English Bulldog and he chews on everything ! I tried the bully sticks and he ate right through them like they were potato chips. I also gave him Yak chews, which are also pretty good but these Benebone's not only last for months and months but the fact that we bought him the bacon and chicken flavors give him something to choose between when he is bored with the first one. He will knaw/chew on these bones for hours and hours at a time and it keeps him occupied. He gets so into these bones that he is in his own little world as we watch and hear him going to town on them. He has not chewed on shoes, chairs, base-molding or anything else for that matter. Finally !!! We found the ultimate bone to stop his need to chew [ on other things ] and he really enjoys them !

My 45 lb lab mix is a big-time chewer, shredder, and destroyer of dog toys. This is one of the few toys that lasts at least a month or two and that he enjoys chewing on a regular basis. I have ordered a second one to replace the one he already chewed down pretty well. I also like that he was not able to break off pieces. It wears out in such a way that it helps clean your dog's teeth.

I've never been too keen on nylon dog chews. My dogs hate them and usually let they lie around untouched. But I read the reviews on this Wishbone and most reviews were favorable so I ordered one even though I have three rescue Labs. The two that do the chewing are just at the 70 lb. mark and they do love to chew.Smack out of the package the brown Lab and newest addition to our crew, grabbed the Wishbone and it's been hers ever since. I think part of the appeal of it is the shape. The design and the three knobs make it very easy to carry around in her mouth and tease the others....right in their faces....with it and then off she goes, doing her whirling around maneuvers to avoid getting caught. One of the Y knobs seems to be the best one for chewing as she has certainly worked on it, with no visible signs that she has tried the other ends. There has been no splintering or cracking and is one of the longest lasting chews they've ever had. I feel really mean that all three Labs don't have one of their own but will remedy that soon. These will be in their Christmas stockings for sure.
