My dog gives the flavor 5 stars. Changing to this premium food has helped my dog's skin issues. Won't feed him anything else.
I have been giving my Shiba Inu this for over 5 years. She loves it! Only problem is that the price has continuously gone up compared to others.
My Dog , Sadie, like the food,,, Her skin looks better,, Note the dog food has a strong fish order at times,,, so but the dog food in a container.
Wellness has always been rank high in the dog food world and here the price is attractive. Shipped fast !
High quality fair price
Quality product, and our animals love it. It may not be worth the expensive purchase price.
I have an American Bulldog mix. Bulldogs are prone to skin allergies and issues. My dog has been on this food for 4 years and is doing beautifully! Her skin cleared up after about a month. (She cannot eat food with chicken as the main ingredient because of her allergies.) After 4 years she is still extremely excited at meal time.
We have used Wellness dry foods for our active shelties for the past 30 years, and they have all thrived, including our two brood bitches, who delivered superb pups. And, unusual for shelties, none have needed tooth extractions, and all, except one who was attacked by another dog and died, lived long lives of 13.5 to 14.5 years.
Bag had a hole that was taped up. I'm just going to buy this from the pet stores near me so I don't get an open product again. It's also a little cheaper if I buy locally anyway. I'm over this subscription that just keeps going up in price.
Wellness Core is undeniably a quality dog food brand. I prefer to only buy brands offering fish with no chicken meal or chicken fat added. The latter are simply added protein boosters in what is supposed to be exclusively a premium FISH related dog food formula. This subsequently eliminates many other premium brands many of which you might already be using.. The goal is to stay as close to if not higher than a 34% protein content without adding any unnecessary additional protein fillers such as Pea or Potato protein. Wellness Core does stumble a bit with their inclusion of dried potatoes in their listed ingredients. However, it's only a minor flaw in what appears to be an overall exceptional formula dog food. Wellness Core offers the highest overall Glucosamine/Chondroitin ratio of any dog food on the market today. Pet lovers who have dogs with sensitive stomachs can take comfort in knowing the Lactobacillus level per daily serving is an impressive 80 million. Wellness Core also excels with a 4.00% Omega 6 and a 2.00 % Omega3 ratio necessary to maintain a dog's shiny coat.. Whatever you do try to avoid dog foods that add brewers yeast and any unnecessary starches whenever possible. Many times it just comes down to buying the best quality dog food at a price you can afford. Ultimately the true final decision maker will always be your dog. Happy Tails Everyone :)
