I bought this food as I was trying to transition my dog from shelter food. Unfortunately, the food didn’t agree with her GI system; after hospitalization and several food trials, she is on a hydrolysis diet. However, my dog enjoyed eating the Blue Buffalo Limited ingredient food. I found the price to be high per cup of food.
My dog likes this okay, but no more so than her Iams, which is half the price.
My 3 dogs love this dog food. We have been using it for about a year now. Even my dog who has an extremely sensitive stomach did well on this product with added probiotics. One of my dogs has very itchy skin and her discomfort seemed to lessen on this food as well.
So this stuff is super expensive and I had to ration my own meals in order to afford it for my dog but my dog had digestive issues and is old and is allergic to chicken... triple threat... so I got this dog food and she stopped barfing on the floor. That was worth the money all by itself but another bonus is that since I can't afford to eat as much as before, I have lost weight! Hey, this is about the same price as a gym membership so I count this as money saved!
I hate the bag that it does not have a zipper. My dog like it. We did not have any trouble with transition.
So far, so good. My dogs seem to like it. No itchiness or intestinal upset. If no problems, would purchase again.
Expensive but worth it if your dog has a sensitive stomach. This is the ONLY food our dog has ever been able to eat that does NOT make him throw up and give him diarrhea. For us, that is well worth the price!!
Ever since my dog was a puppy he was very picky with the kibble he would get and even then it was hard to get him to eat his dog food, but once I tried this one he leaves his bowl empty. The only thing he leaves are the little balls which I think is blueberry
